New hobby.

Suzanne and I had been wanting to try geocaching for sometime now. She had to get a new phone several months ago, so we downloaded a GPS application. We were immediately hooked, and it has become a nice replacement for cable television. You can find out more about here.

Felix Gonzalez-Torres.

Felix Gonzalez-Torres has been a huge inspiration to me ever since I saw his work at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. His work centers around family, love, and the absence that those people will soon leave. I feel a connection to his work because my current concept deals with my parents' divorce and the absence of my father. I could spend hours looking at the beauty of the glowing bulbs or the iridescent candy wrappers.

Good news.

I disappeared for quite a while, but now I'm back. Hopefully I can start up some random posts again, but I'm still quite busy. Student teaching, graduation, blah, blah, blah, etc.

Monsieur Cabinet.

I found Monsieur Cabinet's website via OK Great a couple of weeks ago, and fell in love. His 1,000 Awesome Things drawings are the best, but don't forget to check out the rest of the site.
